Here are pictures of landscapes, people and still life drawn directly from observation and images which explore mythic themes informed by centuries of rich imaginings across times and cultures. You'll discover Buddhist images which re-interpret the forms of traditional iconography through the filter of Western art practice. Several of these paintings were commissioned by Buddhist practitioners.
The works are personal explorations in a range of media, drawing inspiration from life, the human form, the landscape and the multi-dimensional response of the imagination to sensed experience and mythological themes. Recent inspiration comes from using touchscreen technology to make digital work, playing with pixels instead of pigments.
