Drawings — Wrestlers
These images were made in the life room. Pairs of wrestlers were invited to demonstrate their skills whilst artists made drawings. I am grateful to Glen Sujo for setting up these opportunities and for directing and choreographing the movements. This kind of work requires a sharp moment to moment attention to record the quick movements of the wrestlers. I found the shifts of weight and energy a challenge to record, and enjoyed the moments of grappling, rotating, shifting, standing off and re-engaging.
